- Is the program available to all customers?
No. The QualNet University Program is only available to degree-granting institutions approved by SNT. If you are a current QUP member and the nature of your work is no longer academic or non-profit, contact your SNT sales representative for more information.
- What are my responsibilities as a QUP member?
Protocol models developed using QualNet must be submitted to SNT. Members who contribute outstanding models will be recognized at QualNet World, the annual meeting of QualNet users, as well as on the SNT web site. Submitted models are available online to other QUP members with permission from the owner(s).
In addition to code sharing, members are encouraged to submit papers describing how QualNet is being used in their research efforts. These papers will be posted on the SNT web site for exchange with other QUP members. QUP members are encouraged to submit research papers, studies, or articles that reference QualNet. The only requirement of QUP members, however, is the sharing of code and an annual report summarizing your work with QualNet. Upon completion of a research project, QUP members are asked to submit to SNT any published papers and code that involves QualNet.
- What is included in the QUP Package?
The QualNet University Program package comes with the following components:
- University edition(*) of the latest release of QualNet Developer
- Full QualNet documentation
- Free software updates to QualNet for the duration of the license term.

(*) The University edition of QualNet Developer includes the Standard, MANET, and QoS model libraries and a fully functional graphical user interface, but does not include all of the protocol source code. - Can I get technical support?
Yes. Any member of your team may access the web-based support resources at the QualNet Community Forum for free. In addition, QUP members qualify for substantially discounted email support direct from SNT or your country's distributor for one person per license.
