Scalable Networks Announces Boeing as QualNet Customer
Phantom Works Division to Develop Real-Time Network Models
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 28, 2002--Scalable Network Technologies (SNT), the developers of QualNet software, announced today that Boeing Phantom Works, the Research and Development arm of Chicago-based Boeing, has purchased QualNet for conducting large-scale simulation studies.
"For evaluating communications networks for integrated defense systems, we need to be able to conduct large-scale simulations in the proof of concept stage of a project," said Tom Henderson of Boeing Phantom Works' communications technology group. "Qualnet will help expand our capability to do this."
QualNet software is a modeling suite for the design of networking devices and optimization of networks. QualNet's five modules come included with the software and are called Analyzer, Animator, Designer, Simulator and Tracer.
Rajive Bagrodia, SNT's President and CEO, commented on the recent addition of Boeing as a customer: "We're extremely pleased that a high profile Research and Development organization such as Boeing Phantom Works is using our software. And we're confident that the singular advantages of QualNet will help them achieve their objectives."
