Scalable Network Technologies Appoints George W. `Nordie' Norwood to Board of Directors; Former Air Force Major General Brings Defense Industry Leadership to Company
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 2002--Scalable Network Technologies (SNT) today announced the appointment of Major General (USAF, Ret) George W. "Nordie" Norwood to the company's board of directors. SNT develops QualNet, a computer software product for the design and management of communication networks.

Over his long career in the US Air Force, General Norwood was a tactical fighter pilot and Air Force officer, planner and leader, serving in posts throughout Europe and Asia. More recently, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the United Nations Command and United States Forces in Korea. In this role, General Norwood was responsible for critical general officer level negotiations with North Koreans. He was also Commander of the 35th Fighter Wing at Misawa Air Base in Japan, where he was the senior US Military Member in Northern Japan.

Since retiring from the Air Force, General Norwood has served in a variety of professional capacities. He serves on the Board of Advisors for a number of corporations, including L-3 Communications Analytics Corporation and VIZTA3D.
